Q&A
When do we need to RSVP by?
Please let us know before the end of the year if you are able to attend. Feel free to text us if you are unsure or want to let us know about any circumstances!
Is Mexico City safe?
Yes! Alex and I have travelled to Mexico City several times and have always felt welcome, safe and comfortable. As with any major city, be aware of your surroundings and belongings. Particularly with Mexico City, we recommend staying within the more “touristy” neighborhoods (Condesa, Roma, Polanco, Chapultepec Park, Zona Rosa, Coyoacan, and Centro Historico).
How to get around Mexico?
Ubers are inexpensive and reliable. Note that some of the cars are smaller so you may want to opt for a Black or an XL if traveling with luggage. Our favorite thing to do is walk around the city, so if you aren’t traveling far, streets such as Avenida Amsterdam are beautiful.
Can I drink the water?
Most restaurants, hotels and Airbnbs provide filtered water. To be safe, we recommend picking up a few water bottles from the Oxxo on the corner.
Do we need pesos?
Most places take credit card. For street vendors and markets you can exchange for pesos at the airport or pull out pesos at an ATM.
Anything else we should know?
Mexico City is 7,349 feet above sea level – if you are sensitive to altitude, you may experience a bit of this.
