How We Met
Paige first spotted Alex playing on the UCLA Law basketball team because of his cool basketball shoes. She was immediately confused. How had she missed this large (cute) human lurking around the law school for the past two years?
At a bar after the game, Paige asked a classmate for the name of this anonymous giant. Alex Randolph. She quickly left before being spotted because she didn’t feel so cute herself.
Apparently she failed to evade detection because Alex’s classmate noticed her leaving and confessed his love for Paige to Alex. Alex replied “who?”. Shortly thereafter, Alex received a follow request from Paige.
A few weeks later they had their first date at Roosterfish in Venice where Paige ordered an Old Fashioned and Alex ordered a drink with a flower and umbrella. Alex also tripped over a stool on the way to the bathroom. Despite these obstacles, the date was a hit and they spent an embarrassing amount of time arguing if it was more widely known that Abraham Lincoln’s wife’s name was Mary Todd or that Abe had Marfan Syndrome. (They are still arguing about it, so please vote below.)
After several hours, a second bar, and a few drinks later, Paige got an Uber home, but not before saying “Love you, bye”, and panicking about the confession the whole way home. Thankfully, it worked out.
Paige is still in Alex’s phone as Mary Todd.
